I've been taking my dog to AnaCare for several years. This year, however, I think there's been a change in management. Tania, the woman who's always there, was not there and I didn't recognize anyone working there. When I picked up my dog, I paid cash (they only accept cash) and after I paid, the guy went to get my dog. When he came out, the poor dog *reaked* of feces and his fur was very obviously matted with filth in places. When I said, "he smells a bit pooey" (a polite, but extreme understatement) he replied, "oh, I think he just farted", which, given the dog's obvious visible condition, was an insult to anyone's intelligence. The car ride home was unbearable, even with the windows open (I had to shampoo my car interior afterward to get the smell out). When I got my dog home, I took him straight to the bathtub. The water coming off him was very noticeably brownish yellow with feces. As good as Anacare was in the past, I will *never* take my dog there again. I can't imagine what the back area of that kennel must smell like.
