Well, I just had to write about this documentary I just watched, called "A Murder of Crows", by CBC's, The Nature of Things with David Suzuki. I have always been aware that crows are no dummies, but I was truly surpised by how smart they truly are. Their intelligence rivals Great Apes and Chimpanzies and one could argue their intelligence may even surpase them.

They make tools (Caledonian Crows), solve complex problems, and even have what is called "theory of mind". Theory of mind is basically the ability to understand others have beleifs, desires, intentions, etc. different from ones own. This alone put them in the top three species in intelligence in the world, which is considerable, since science has identified 2 million so far. I would encourage everyone to watch this documentary and have a new understanding of and appreciation for these amazing birds.
