Today I just wanted to share a response to my blog post entitled, "Rescue Ink" from Michelle Albino, the owner of Centeno Kennels.
"I read your blog on Rescue Ink and decided to view the show for myself. I appreciate what they are trying to do, however from what i've seen on the show what they are doing is unacceptble. They have no training, schooling or authorrity to do what they are doing. I saw their episode with the Pittbull they claimed they rehabilitated, but in my profesional opinion that animal was nowhere near ready to be adopted out.I personally had a problem Pittbull case this summer and rehabilatation takes way more than the 4 weeks they gave their rescued Pittbull. I also saw the Bittin Back episode where they entered a dog owner's house. The animal was well fed well socialized, but was doing its business in the house. They threatened the owner to clean his house or else. This intimidating attitude is frowned upon by many of us in the animal profession and I would like any future encouragement of this program to be removed from your site. The United States has very good laws in place to protect animals. They can intervene but bottom line is they should be contacting the proper authorities."
I wanted to post it, as I thought it was a valid comment about Rescue Ink.
