Siberian Tiger Named Vitale Leaves Man who Broke into the Calgary Zoo with Serious Injuries

Oct. 13th, 2009 - By:Admin

In Calgary last week two men broke into the Zoo and decided to taunt or at least have a closer look at a 2-year-old 330lbs male Siberian tiger named Vitale, which left one of the men with serious injuries to his arm. The two men scaled the Zoo perimeter fence into zoo property overnight Oct 5th and then scaled the safety fence of the tiger enclosure, which keeps observers a safe distance from the main tiger enclosure fence.

It's believed that one of the men, a 27-year-old, approached the exhibit and was hooked by the animal's claw. Zoo officials stated "...if someone is eager enough to break into a property, they'll find a way to do it...You have to rely on people to use common sense." Police said the man's arm injuries were so bad he may lose the limb. It is not known why the men decided to do this, but hopefully the other idiots of the world will learn from these idiots mistake. These men should win a Darwin Award for their efforts.
